In Sentence 7, what does “disoblige” mean?

We see in Sentence 7 that the kind of man Miss Frances chooses to marry is a "a lieutenant of marines, without education, fortune, or connexions." This husband is in stark contrast with the high-class man she was expected to marry, and so we can see that her choice snubs or offends her family.
